Baby K - 7 Weeks!

7 weeks

December 21, 2015

Baby K is the size of a brookesia micra chameleon (or a raspberry) (a little over 1/2 inch long). The baby is starting to form cartilage that will develop into bones, as well as its fingers and toes. It is also officially considered an embryo now! SO cool!

As far as symptoms, I feel like I have to pee all the time and I'm still tired all the time. Morning sickness is still minimal and boobs are still sore. I still have just a blump, but it is beginning to feel more firm.

This week, we celebrated Christmas! We announced that we were pregnant to our immediate families. We're still waiting a while to tell everyone else, but we've told some of our closest friends. Things are starting to feel more real and we're getting very excited!

These are the announcements we made for our family. We wrapped them up in a little gift box and put the booties/boots on top of the announcement.
We used this one for our dads. Is says "Our pack is growing! Baby Kinlaw arriving August 2016!"

We used this one for our moms and my sister & niece. It says "The best gifts don't come from under a tree...Merry Christmas from our growing family! Baby Kinlaw arriving August 2016!"

Sidenote...don't announce to an 8 year old that she's getting a little cousin by telling her you have a present that you're giving her early and giving her a gift wrapped box. She was excited about the baby, but a little let down that she didn't have an actual gift. She came around, but the initial disappointment was there. We're still learning about this kid thing!
