This is a day early, but today just happens to be my Friday, sooooo...
1) MD Trip! - We spent the holiday weekend in MD! It was so nice to go visit! I worked last Friday from my old office, but almost no one was in, so I didn't get to catch up with many people.We stayed with Jen & John, so we got to spend plenty of time with my Smiths!!! We haven't seen all of them together since they visited in March, so this visit is long overdue! While we visited, we got dinner from our favorite Italian restaurant. We experienced all of the things we miss most about MD on this trip - great friends, great food and Wegman's! Definitely a winning trip in my book!

2) Brian & Anabel's wedding! - We were in MD for Brian & Anabel's wedding! Their wedding was SO much fun! We got crab cakes and they were delicious! We went out with friends after the wedding. This was the first time we have been out in Baltimore since we've moved. I'm not going to lie, it was quite difficult to leave the next morning!
3) Grandma visit - We stopped in VA to visit with Josh's grandma on the way back down. She was napping when we first got there and we were hungry, so we went to grab lunch with Josh's cousin. We came back and visited with her for a little bit before we had to leave to go back home.
4) AJ's Birthday dinner - Kristen threw an awesome surprise 30th birthday party for AJ while we were out of town. Since we couldn't make it to the party, we arranged to have dinner with them once we got back into town. We got on the road later than planned, so we had to go straight to The Pit from visiting Josh's grandma. We had a really nice time catching up and of course the food was great!
5) Patio - Our patio is finally in!!! The patio looks great! The grass that was destroyed in the process of installing it...that's a different story and definitely not a favorite....but it will grow back.

6) Peru - We're SO close to our trip! This is the chaos that is going on in our sitting room as we speak. Craziness!!!
Prepping to pack our backpacks. Chaise full of clothes and a table full of gear. At this point, I had already packed some of my gear for the trail, so we're actually taking more than this.Yikes!
7) Short work week - I had Monday off for Labor day and tomorrow off because it's my off Friday. Yay for a 3 day work week!!! It's been a very busy week, but it's almost over!!!
