Friday Favorites!

TGIF! This week has been a long and stressful one. I'm so glad to see Friday here finally!

1) Planning - Josh and I sat down on Saturday and had a major planning/budgeting session. We wanted to make sure our goals and timelines were realistic. It was time consuming, but we made it enjoyable and we both felt very accomplished afterward.

2) Flowers - After spending Saturday morning planning, I planted flowers in our flower bed while Josh fertilized the grass and fixed our storm door. It was SO nice outside, so it didn't even feel like we were doing work. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on the flowers since I plan to plant bulbs in the Fall. I decided on Marigolds and Celosia.

I had some extra Celosia, so I planted them in a pot to put near our front door. I love these flowers, they're so unique! They were only $1.25 for a six pack...even better!

3) Tax Day - Since our taxes were already done, we didn't have to worry about that. We did get to go out for $1 drafts at DuClaw though! Their beers aren't my favorite, but they're good and we had a great time hanging out for a little bit after work. It was a good way to start the work week.

4) Happy Hour - Our company had a Happy Hour yesterday. It started at 3:00, so I got to leave work early. I had to work a small amount of the event, but it was still tons of fun. The food was great and it tastes even better when I don't have to pay for it. Haha.

5) Grass Progress - It has rained a couple times this week and I'm so glad! Our grass has started to establish roots and it's turning so green! The picture below was taken today. If you look at the picture of the flower bed above, that was taken last Saturday. See how much greener the grass is since then? I LOVE our new grass. We have been putting this off since we moved in. I'm so glad we finally decided to go for it!
